FM Best Bargain Nigeria Limited (“FM Best Bargain”, “we”, “us”) runs the FM Best Bargain Super Store website at fmbestbargain.com and stores in Ogba, Surulere and Ado Ekiti. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and, if you add it, your delivery address. Your password is stored in encrypted form and we can’t see it.
- Orders: the items you order, your chosen pickup store or delivery address, and any note you add.
- Messages: your name, phone number, email address and message when you use our contact form, WhatsApp, email or phone.
Information collected automatically
- Technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which our hosting provider records in standard server logs for security.
- Small files and browser storage that keep you signed in and remember your cart and wishlist. See our Cookie Policy.
Payment details: when online payment is available, card and bank payments are processed by a licensed payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
- To process, prepare, deliver or hand over your orders, and to contact you about them.
- To answer your questions, complaints and return or refund requests.
- To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To tell you about offers and new products, but only if you have agreed to this. You can opt out at any time.
3. Our legal basis
We use your information because it is needed to provide the service you ask for (such as your account or order), because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, because the law requires it, or because you have given your consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when needed with:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- Payment providers, to process your payments.
- Delivery riders or logistics partners, to deliver your order.
- Government bodies, courts or regulators, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected as the law requires.
5. How long we keep it
- Account details: for as long as your account is open. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Order and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Contact messages: for up to 24 months, unless they relate to an ongoing issue.
6. Keeping it safe
We protect your information with secure https connections, encrypted passwords, limits on repeated sign-in attempts and restricted access to our admin area. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete. You can also update your details yourself in My Account.
- Delete your information or close your account.
- Stop or limit how we use your information, or stop sending you marketing.
- Move your information to another organisation, where this applies.
Email us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. Children
Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Links to other sites
Our website links to services such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
